CWA New Media

 

An e-learning services company of educators and interactive media producers. Focuses on education, training, lifelong learning and online community building. Its Maori team focuses on discovering, describing and delivering resources to the Maori education sector.

 

Kia Ata Mai Educational Trust

 

They are Maori teachers working in the Waikato area, who all hold senior management positions in their respective schools: Bernard Fergusson, Huntly West, Rakaumanga, and Te Ara Rima. The aim is to develop and promote Maori literacy programmes for readers in Kura Kaupapa and Maori medium schools. They promote, support and assist with the publication of appropriate, quality and classroom tested resources in Maori, and support initiatives that will maintain the quality of the Maori language, training and professional development of teachers in Kura Kaupapa schools.

Learning Media is a leading educational publisher and the world's largest publisher of Maori materials. They provide contract publishing services and professional development programmes and resources to the Ministry of Education, teachers, and corporate clients.

 

Maori Education Trust

 

The Trust’s core activities are advocacy for improved Maori educational achievement; promoting tino rangatiratanga in education development; administration of a wide variety of scholarships and grants; sponsorship of the Nga Manu Korero regional and national speech competitions; administration of the Ngarimu VC and 28th (Maori) Battalion scholarships and essay competitions; and managing, protecting and growing the Trust’s assets.

Te Kete Ipurangi – The Online Learning Centre

TKI is a bilingual portal-plus web community which provides quality assured educational material for New Zealand teachers, school managers, and the wider education community. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Education.

Te Kohanga Reo National Trust

 

Promotes, supports and encourages the use and retention of Te Reo Maori. Focuses on supporting Te Köhanga Reo Centres and liaises with government departments and other relevant bodies on aspects of pre-school tuition in Maori language and the administration of Te Köhanga Reo programme.
