How MDRC works

Two models of business practice that have developed in the current knowledge economy are virtual organisations and virtual teams, also known as network collaborations.

These practices are most commonly used in the IT industry but have been enthusiastically employed in many other sectors. Virtual organisations and network collaborations have been a particular feature of Maori professional service practices to take advantage of the internet’s ability to help businesses reach beyond physical locations to national and international audiences.

There are three terms that you will come across at the Centre

·        Virtual organisation

·        Network collaboration

·        Virtual office
